I created a number of product banners for Dudson, approximately 2000 mm high x 800 mm wide. Distributors used the banners in their showrooms next to the company’s products. Sometimes the sales team used them for small exhibitions or product showcases.
Using two metre high product banners in these situations can present you with design problems. This is because quite often a table full of products is placed in front of them, so the bottom third of the banner is hidden.
Therefore, I only used the top two thirds of space on the banner for the design. I left clean white space underneath – all the way down to the floor. On each banner I depicted four products with little or no text, echoing Dudson’s brand image.
